A Word Summary of the Passion Week (Detail of Station 4-7) by Nancy Anderson
Each calligraphic piece captures Christ's agonizing suffering and sorrow during the Passion Week. No elegant lettering on white paper. Instead I used rough, torn, cheap newsprint, various mediums and tools of ink, paint, pens and brushes. The calligraphy is organic and abrupt. Follow His story through the 14 word sketches.

Supplication by Joel Sundquist
In supplication there is suffering, but to avail – a purpose. My wife, who spends much time in prayer appropriately named this painting. In supplication we touch the rawest parts of the soul, for life, death and even miracles. This man’s face is in the dirt, perhaps symbolic since we are created from dirt. Have you ever felt this way? I hope this painting evokes passion and desire to seek and even appreciate our need to supplicate before God.
